I started my photography business in 2010 and I had no business starting a business. I had no idea what to charge, how to market, what to post on social media, and I definitely had zero knowledge on how to grow and sustain a profitable photography business.
I was only fueled off the pure excitement I felt to follow my dreams and that was able to carry me pretty far until I reached burnout. It was only then that I realized I needed to invest my energy into my business just as much as I did my art. My love for my craft could only carry me so far on it's own.
I created The Collective because it is exactly what past me would have wanted. I wasted so much energy, spinning my wheels trying to figure it all out on my own, that it was starting to take a toll on my art and my life. If I had someone in my corner to guide me on my own journey, I would have been hitting my goals much sooner with purpose and intention.
